In Flanders Fields Museum, Ieper
"The last witness"
This museum tells about the Great War of 1914-1918
and is set in the middle of Flanders' trenches.
The exhibition "The last witness" was held
in 2006. The design was in the hands of Tijdsbeeld &
PièceMontée.
Inter2Face was commissioned to project a high definition
videoclip, cut into 3 parts, on 3 large screens, to
synchronize these images and to control lights harmonized
with the videoclip.
A few years ago this would have involved expensive equipment.
Now we achieved our goal with 3 standard computers with
the software I2F
MediaBrick and 3 average projectors. One
motion detector triggered the installation. The equipment
went into sleep modus when nobody was around.
NEW: For this application
we put in theI2F
MediaComm DMX512, a software plugin, completed
by a small DMX output box. The control of the TL lights
is thus integrated in the display system.
